  1. Firearms It is easy to bring your own firearms into the country, currently New Zealand is undergoing amendments to the firearms laws - click here for the current importation document. You need to fill out this form and email it to the New Zealand police three/four weeks before arriving in NZ.

  2. Do you have firearms and fishing equipment available for hire? Yes - please contact me directly

  3. What about hunting clothing?You can bring your own or buy it here.

  4. How far in advance do I need to book my hunt? The March/April/May spaces fill pretty fast so we recommend early bookings.

  5. Is New Zealand easy to reach? New Zealand is accessible by most major airlines from all across the globe and if you require James will personally collect you from the airport upon arrival.

  6. What is the climate like? Summer is November to February, 50F-86F (10-30C). Our winter months are May to August, 32F-60F (0-15C)

  7. What is the currency? The New Zealand dollar. Here is a Currency Converter.

  8. What language is spoken? English is the main language spoken.

  9. Are the wilderness areas safe? Yes. There are no scorpions, snakes, wolves, bears, big cats, or other predatory animals.

  10. Is it easy to gain entry? You will need to apply for a NZeTA (New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority and an IVL (International Visitors Levy) before you arrive into New Zealand. It can take up to 72 hours to approve these visas, and once approved, they are valid for multiple visits and last for 2 years. Visit immigration.govt.nz/nzeta fill out the form and/or download the app.

  11. Can we enjoy some rest & relaxation as we travel and enjoy the New Zealand Tourism? Yes of course! all of James’s packages are custom designed to allow you to come and go as you please or James can assist you to create the perfect experience which includes the best of the South Island scenery and Tourism as well as farm visits and seeing the very best of New Zealand. Non Hunters are catered for and can also join on the hunts.
